On Saturday, November 29, 2025, the city of Waragem in Belgium hosted an intellectual discussion seminar on “The Role of Islamic Institutions in Positive Integration within the Pluralistic Belgian and European Society.”
This event was organized in collaboration between Al-Jisr Center and the Ijtihad Center for Studies and Training in Belgium, in celebration of the inauguration of Al-Jisr Center’s new headquarters after undergoing major renovations that included several of its facilities.
A distinguished group of Muslim professionals of Moroccan origin, representing various academic and professional fields, took part in the seminar. Among them were Dr. Mouloud Kalai, a specialist in occupational accident medicine; Dr. Tijani Boulaouali, researcher and university professor; Mr. Saïd Kawakibi, civil society and media activist; and Mr. Mohamed Mansouri, a researcher in family affairs.
The event drew remarkable attendance from different generations, age groups, and nationalities, reflecting the wide interest in the topic of positive integration and the growing role of Islamic institutions in fostering constructive interaction within the culturally diverse Belgian and European society.
